The 2025 NFL Draft has concluded with 257 total selections officially in the books.

The focus now turns to the coming season and which of the new additions will prove to be the most beneficial come the fall.

Oddsmakers from the top online sportsbooks have weighed in by posting the NFL Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year odds. Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty and New York Giants EDGE Abdul Carter are the current favorites.

The intriguing wild card, of course, is the Heisman Trophy winner and second-overall pick, Jacksonville Jaguars two-way standout Travis Hunter, who ranks among the top-3 favorites in both categories as a wide receiver and cornerback.

Below we take a closer look at the odds and early outlook for each of the NFL ROY awards.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds: Jeanty could end RB drought

There’s already been some early oddsboard movement here as Jeanty has overtaken the No. 1-overall pick, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward, who opened as a slight OROY favorite.

Jeanty, the former Boise State standout and Heisman runner-up, rushed for 2,601 yards last season — 890 more yards than anyone else in the FBS ranks. He’s was the perfect fit at No. 6 overall for the 4-13 Raiders who finished dead last in the NFL in rushing last season with 1,357 total yards in 17 games, a little more than half of Jeanty’s 14-game solo total.

Vegas' addition of veteran QB Geno Smith should also keep opposing defenses from overloading the box against the rookie RB.

Jeanty seeks to become the first running back to win OROY honors since Saquon Barkley in 2018. Four quarterbacks, including Jayden Daniels and C.J. Stroud the last two seasons, and a pair of wide receivers, have taken home the last six OROY awards.

Ward, who threw an FBS-most 39 TD passes and only seven interceptions last season at Miami (Fla.), will be counted on to step in right away for the 3-14 Titans who finished 29th out of the 32 teams with an 80.7 team passer rating (22 TDs, 21 interceptions).

Hunter, who had 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 TDs while averaging 113.9 total snaps per game last season at Colorado, is expected to be a starting wide receiver for the Jags. He also is expected to play as part of a package defensively that could expand as the season progresses.

His dual prowess (4 interceptions, 11 passes defensed) pushed him over the top in the 2024 Heisman voting, but that advantage will be mitigated by the split NFL rookie awards.

Bettors, though, haven’t been deterred so far as Hunter had attracted the highest percentage of the OROY handle (16%) and the second-highest share of the DROY money at DraftKings Sportsbook, it reported Monday, April 28.

NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds: Carter a strong favorite

Defensive lineman/edge rushers have captured five of the last six NFL DROY awards, and Carter, the third-overall pick by the Giants is favored to make it six of seven with +263 sportsbook-consensus odds as of Monday.

Atlanta Falcons EDGE Jalon Walker (+725) and Hunter (+888) were the only players with better than 11-1 consensus odds.

Carter notched 12 sacks as part of an FBS-most 24 tackles for losses last season and should be able to thrive on already-potent N.Y. pass rush which had the eighth-most sacks (45) and third-best sack percentage (8.2) in the league last season.

Walker, meanwhile, stays home after starring collegiately at Georgia with 6.5 sacks and 11 TFLs last season. He has a chance to make an immediate impact on an Atlanta pass rush that has produced the fewest sacks (141) over the last five seasons.
