Sunday’s action tips off with the Midwest final in Indianapolis as 2-seed Tennessee will try to take down top-seeded Houston and advance to its first-ever Final Four. The Cougars survived a major scare from fourth-seeded Purdue on Friday night, prevailing 62-60 in the final seconds.
In the weekend finale, it’ll be tourney No. 1-overall seed Auburn taking on Tom Izzo’s second-seeded Michigan State Spartans in the South title tilt in Atlanta.
Johni Broome and the Tigers have won their first three tourney games by 12 or more points apiece, and a victory Sunday will send them to the second Final Four in program history.
