Best NFL bets for Sunday’s wild card games

In Sunday’s opener, the AFC’s second-seeded Bills (13-4) entered the weekend as top sportsbook-consensus 8.5-point favorites over the seventh-seeded Broncos (10-7) with a game total of 47.5 points.

Even with Buffalo laying more than a touchdown, we’re recommending BILLS -8.5.

Josh Allen and the Bills finished the regular season as one of two teams without a home loss and are 11-2 straight-up and 8-5 against the spread as a favorite on the year.

Rookie QB Bo Nix and the Broncos are one of the league’s surprises, but they feasted mainly on inferior foes and quarterbacks, winning only one of eight matchups — the Week 18 shutout of Carson Wentz and the Kansas City Chiefs’ reserves excluded — against above-.500 competition this season.

In the late-afternoon NFC clash in Philly, the second-seeded Eagles (14-3) were consensus 5-point favorites over the seventh-seeded Packers (11-6) with a game total of 45.5 points.

Philadelphia prevailed 34-29 in the Week 1 matchup between the teams in Brazil, but we’re going with PACKERS +5 here in the postseason rematch.

With both teams boasting top-10 scoring offenses, defenses and turnover differentials as well as top-shelf quarterbacks and running backs, it profiles as an even matchup across the board.

So even after granting Philly a couple points for homefield advantage, the value lies with the underdog Pack.

In the Sunday nightcap, the NFC’s third-seeded Buccaneers (10-7) were 3-point favorites against the sixth-seeded Commanders (12-5) with a game total hovering around 50 points.

The best bet here is bypassing the flat field goal spread and going OVER 50 POINTS on the total.

In Baker Mayfield and Jayden Daniels, we have two impressive quarterbacks guiding top-five offenses against a pair of middling defenses.

The Bucs (12-5 to the over) and Commanders (11-6) are two of the league’s top six over teams on the season with their games averaging 52.1 and 51.5 points, respectively.
