Guards Andrew Nembhard and Tyrese Haliburton combined for 45 points on 16-of-25 shooting for the fourth-seeded Pacers who now have won four of five meetings against Cleveland this season.
Guard Donovan Mitchell scored a game-high 33 points for the Cavs who were outscored 29-22 in the fourth quarter.
Keep a close eye on Cleveland’s Game 2 injury situation as Darius Garland (toe), Evan Mobley (ankle) and De’Andre Hunter (thumb) are dealing with assorted ailments.
Out West, it’ll be the sixth-seeded Timberwolves and seventh-seeded Warriors meeting in the Twin Cities as they continue their quests for a berth in the conference finals.
Minnesota dominated the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 in Round 1 while Steph Curry and Golden State outdueled the second-seeded Houston Rockets 4-3.
Anthony Edwards and the Wolves are favored to play in their second straight Western Conference finals, but the Warriors’ experienced postseason-proven trio of Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green has plans of its own.
