OZONE PARK, N.Y. – A last-to-first victory by Misseliofwar ($61) in Friday’s 10th and final race at Aqueduct resulted in there being carryovers in the late pick 5 and the pick 6 on Saturday.
The carryover in the late pick 5 is $323,211 and the wager, with a $0.50 minimum, will be on races 7 through 11. The carryover in the pick 6, which carries a $1 minimum and begins in race 6, is $39,020.
There were double-digit-priced winners in all legs of the late pick 5 beginning with Mangestu ($18.60) and continuing with Bossmakinbossmoves ($28.20), Mz Big Bucks ($14.80), Les Reys ($14.60), and ending with the first-time starter Misseliofwar ($61), who gave trainer Emron Ibrahim his first winner since May 16, 2019, though he only started 18 horses in between.
Saturday’s late pick 5 consists of four turf races including the Grade 3, $350,000 Jockey Club Oaks for 3-year-old fillies. All five races in the sequence have a minimum of 10 horses before scratches.
The pick 6 starts with race 6, a New York-bred allowance where the Bob Baffert-trainee Tall Paul figures to be a strong favorite.
