The future of Missouri sports betting has been decided, and the state will launch its legal online gambling market on Dec. 1, 2025.
The decision to legalize MO sports betting was approved at the November ballot one year ago. Local voters approved Amendment 2 by a majority of less than 3,000 votes, ending years of back-and-forth and greenlighting the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) to establish the state market
With the reality of legal sports betting in Missouri approaching, here’s everything there is to know about how the Show-Me State arrived at this point, what is in store, and what MO sportsbooks will be available for customers.
Missouri sports betting updates and timeline
Nov. 5, 2024 – the day that Missouri voters approved Amendment 2 and legalized sports betting across the state, leaving local gaming regulators in charge of getting the market to operational status.
The MGC confirmed for the first time on May 15, 2025, the Dec. 1 launch date for legal Missouri online sports gambling.
On July 16, the MGC granted its executive director the authority to issue temporary sports betting operators’ licenses; in other words, they received the power to approve commercial sportsbooks for operation once the market launched.
The Dec. 1 launch was upheld during a MGC meeting on Aug. 27, during which it said at least nine sportsbooks would be ready for the grand opening. That number now appears to be 10, although there’s uncertainty regarding one licensee, Kambi (more on that later).
Prospective Missouri online sports betting apps had until Sept. 12 to submit their applications to the MGC and, if approved, be eligible for the Dec. 1 launch. The MGC ultimately decided to temporarily license 10 entities, including nine online sportsbooks.

Missouri sports betting: Available MO sports betting apps
-
Circa Sports
It’s only fitting we start with Circa Sports, which shocked the sports betting industry by receiving one of two untethered Missouri sports betting operator’s licenses. The MGC granted the license to Circa over FanDuel, the American leader in sports betting, and the odd one out among three applicants. Despite only operating in five other states, Circa is known as a hotbed for “sharp” sports bettors thanks to its low vig (meaning favorable odds) and high betting limits.
Usual sign-up bonus (pending MO confirmation): None
-
DraftKings
DraftKings is the other of two untethered licensees, as approved by the MGC. Untethered licenses are more alluring to sportsbooks since they do not need to acquire a land-based partner, with whom they would have to split their profits. DraftKings is second to FanDuel (and not by a wide margin) in the national sports betting scene and has a plethora of betting markets and promotions for new and returning customers.
Missouri pre-launch sign-up bonus (pending confirmation): At least $400 in bonuses
-
bet365
bet365 is one of the leading sportsbooks in Europe, but it’s also quickly growing in America. The sportsbook is known for having tons of betting markets for seemingly every sport, ensuring bettors are always in full control of the action. They also have fun deals, such as parlay boosts for bets with at least three legs.
Usual sign-up bonus (pending MO confirmation): Bet $5, get $200 in bonus bets
-
FanDuel
The national leader in sports betting is coming to the MO gambling market with a chip on its shoulder after it was rebuffed by the MGC during the untethered license decision. FanDuel seamlessly blends the experiences of veteran and novice sports bettors with a responsive and expansive app, as well as friendly options and promotions.
Missouri pre-launch sign-up bonus: $400 in bonuses
-
BetMGM
Co-owned by the world-famous entertainment brand MGM Resorts International, BetMGM comes wrapped in a lavish gold and black interface. It has one of the most lucrative promotional menus and a rewards program that allows customers to redeem prizes at real-world MGM locations. It is also a great source for Missouri live betting, thanks to its array of betting odds.
Missouri pre-launch sign-up bonus (pending confirmation): $200 in bonuses
-
Fanatics
Fanatics is a relative newcomer on the betting scene, but it’s made a strong impression. The sportsbook allows its customers – soon, Missouri sportsbook users – to transcend the gambling world by earning FanCash with every wager, and then using that either on the sportsbook, or to purchase memorabilia from the Fanatics site. It also has innovative deals, such as a 10-day bonus window or the “Fair Play” promotion that refunds customers for wagers affected by injuries.
Missouri pre-launch sign-up bonus: $350 in bonuses

Caesars
Caesars, alongside BetMGM, DraftKings and FanDuel is one of the sports betting industry’s “Big Four.” It also has a parent company that is synonymous with the gambling and casino industry, and its sportsbook, soon to be live as a Missouri sports betting app, was recently updated with tons of new betting markets. That includes special futures markets for season-long wagers in a variety of sports.
Missouri pre-launch sign-up bonus (pending confirmation): $400 in bonuses

ESPN Bet
ESPN Bet carries weight as a brand thanks to its parent companies, PENN Entertainment and ESPN. It’s still working to find its footing in the sports betting industry, but it has lots of links to casinos, thanks to PENN, and has delivered innovative betting markets, such as “no touchdown scorer.”
Usual sign-up bonus (pending MO confirmation): Bet $10, get $100 and ESPN+
-
Underdog Sports
Underdog is only licensed as a sports betting operator in North Carolina, alongside Missouri. However, it is one of the leading companies in fantasy sports contests, and its simplified Missouri sportsbook menu brings a similar fast-paced style to sports betting. It’s also the only betting app with fantasy contests, sports betting odds, and prediction markets, meaning it’s willing to push the envelope in the name of innovation.
Usual sign-up bonus (pending MO confirmation): Up to $1,000 in bonuses following first deposit
-
Kambi
Kambi is unique compared to other Missouri sports betting licensees. Kambi does not have an internal sportsbook—rather, it is a business-to-business technology provider that has worked with multiple sportsbooks in different states. It is currently unclear which sportsbook will utilize Kambi’s license.
