The sprint debut by BOURNE HOT (#6, 3-1) was decent. He raced evenly, like a 2-year-old colt that wants to run long. The switch to turf won't hurt. - Brad Free
JUSTALITTLELOOPY (#6, 9-2) Manoogian homebred filly ships from "up north" after being competitive in the GG alw. ranks and would sure seem to fit for this medium-high tag when well-drawn toward the outer in returning from a two-month layoff. Underrated veteran jock Delgado (won a stakes here last week) doesn't hurt the price, nor her chances; Sherman barn always hovers above the 20-pct. mark. Forward factor with a clear trip from the bell. – Marty McGee
DANCINGTOTHESTARS (#4, 3-1) was far from disgraced when 6th in the Osunitas here July 20 as she was beaten just 2 lengths and had traffic issues. She gets a slight drop and best of all may fall into a great stalking trip what with a number of speedsters lined up here to give her the sharp, contested pace she wants. - Michael Hammersly
BARDY (#5, 7-2) didn't run badly at all when 5th at BHP July 6, particularly when you remember it was her first start in over 10 months and she was away slowly to boot. To her credit she kept to her task well and passed a number of rivals. She's worked well since and with that under her belt and a better start can topple this suspect bunch. BARDY (#5, 7-2) failed to fire July 6 when returning from a layoff in a spring, but should fare much better in this route in his second start off a layoff; ran well over Polytrack surface last year when third in a classier maiden claimer. – Byron King
VULNERABLE FAVORITES
SWISS SUGAR (#5, 5-2) showed good speed in her debut at BHP July 11 before faltering a bit to finish 4th. That's nice and all, and she may well move forward, but she was 10-1 that day and figures a lot shorter today, and while she didn't run badly it's not as if she towers over this bunch in any way. After all, her Beyer came back awfully light (28). - Michael Hammersly
CHOCOLATIER (#1, 3-1) drops from a maiden special weight into a maiden claimer for the first time, but his figures are ordinary and he figures to be overbet off his well-known connections of owner Stonestreet Stables and trainer John Sadler. - Byron King
$190K yearling CHOCOLATIER (#1, 3-1) showed nothing in two MSW starts late spring & now is fire-saled for $18K with poor draw. No thanks on any kind of short price here. - Marcus Hersh
