Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
2:28 MTH 2nd KHOZEIRESS (#6, 6-1) was against the race flow in a couple of sprints prior to the layoff, and though he was well off the board when he last went two turns three back he did win going long over this track last summer; his Beyers are not nearly as good as the figures he was posting in 2024 but perhaps the adverse pace scenarios and the deeper competition he's run into of late are legit excuses. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
2:46 SAR 4th ROGER ROGER (#2, 6-1) looked good breezing in 21-flat as a 2yo before selling for over $500k, but didn't get started until the end of December, where he wound up in a three-wide trip chasing a front-running winner; he did not seem to handle the all-weather surface last time and was given time off; has a big pedigree beihnd him, and appears to have lnaded in a good spot here, assuming he is ready to move forward off the bench. – Mike beer | Get PPs for this race
3:24 MTH 4th NOON TIME TIDE (#6, 7-2) is kin to three local stakes winners, including Sea Streak, Speaking and Stiffed, and she debuts for trainer Eddie Owens Jr., who is eight-for-31 (26%) with his firsters going back five years; the win rate when restricted to statebred 2yo firsters at Monmouth increases to 40%, and that makes this filly a contender by default despite meeting males in her bow. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
3:39 WO 6th LUMBERYARD (#8, 20-1) folded after racing wide over an inside-biased Tapeta surface in each of his last two outings. He filled out the exacta in three of his four grass races and could get back on the beam in this main course sprint under Forde, who's 2 for 5 for the barn. – Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
3:50 SAR 6th MO DODGY (#3, 8-1) is the lone entrant in this field with a prior race. He debuted on dirt at Churchill, where he was away from the gate well before getting outpaced, after which he chased to no avail; bred to improve with this surface switch for a trainer who is 20% with a $3.48 ROI with second-time starting maidens over the past five years. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
3:52 MTH 5th GOLD STAMP (#1, 5-1) gets back to sprinting on the grass and this does seem to be her best game, as evidenced by the effort back in March, at Tampa, when she posted the best Beyer of her career; has the speed but can also rate and make one run, and that versatility gives her some options as she tries to work out a trip from her inside post. – Kenny peck | Get PPs for this race
3:57 GP 7th BIG PARADISE (#7, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race
4:00 LRC 1st KID DYNASTY (#2, 6-1) has shown talent and might be ready to put it all together for a trainer having a super meet. Three of his four sibs to race are winners including Best of Me (12-4-1-1, $162K, 1 SW, 2 SPs) and Ninja Warrior (17-6-4-0, $342K, 1 SP). – Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race
4:58 GP 9th DEFENDED (#8, 10-1) won going this distance 4 and 7 back and did so easily in both. She was stuck in the 1 hole going seven panels three back and that is a tough spot. Current form is strong while new barn is 29% off the claim. A good post rounds out the appeal. GRAMMY GIRL exits a key race where 2 of 7 returned to win with figs of 71 and 86. This filly won off the layoff five back and did so in an elongated sprint at Aqueduct. Team Joseph takes over and they are 27% with new runners. Works are well spaced as is expected from this high percentage barn. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
