Far Bridge, Big Invasion to race in 2025

Far Bridge, winner of this year's Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic, will return to race in 2025.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Far Bridge, the two-time Grade 1 winner who finished ninth in the Breeders’ Cup Turf, and Big Invasion, the multiple stakes winner who finished 10th in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, will both race again in 2025, trainer Christophe Clement said.

Far Bridge won the Sword Dancer and Joe Hirsch Turf Classic in 2024 before finishing 5 3/4 lengths behind Rebel’s Romance in the BC Turf.

“Joel [Rosario] thought he ran well, we lacked a little bit of racing luck from the three-eighths to the quarter pole because the leader came to us and we had to check a few times,” Clement said. “He didn’t finish quite as well as we expected him to finish, but he came back good. He looks great.”

Clement said Far Bridge is at Payson Park in Florida and will get a minimum of 60 days off before being put back in training. Clement said he would point Far Bridge to all the graded distance turf stakes in New York in 2025 – the Man o’ War, Manhattan, Sword Dancer, and Joe Hirsch.

Clement also said plans call for Big Invasion to race again at age 6. Big Invasion’s only win from seven starts in 2024 was the Harvey Pack Stakes.

Clement said Big Invasion is getting some time off on owner Dean Reeves’s farm and will join him at Payson Park sometime this winter.
