Free Like a Girl wins the Treasure Chest Stakes at Delta Downs on Friday night.

Alicia Keys would have to agree this girl is on fire.

Free Like a Girl went over $2 million in earnings Friday night with a gutsy, head win over Autism Community in the $100,000 Treasure Chest at her home track of Delta Downs in Vinton, La.

It was the latest in a string of accomplishments for the mare, who earlier this year became the all-time richest Louisiana-bred. She won her second straight stakes at the Delta meet in the Treasure Chest and the first-place check of $60,000 lifted her earnings to $2,039,978.

Free Like a Girl, who now has a career mark of 20 wins from 44 starts, picked up her 18th stakes win in the Treasure Chest.

Free Like a Girl ($2.60) on Friday night stalked fractions of 22.98 seconds for the opening quarter and 46.99 for the half-mile. She was on the move through six furlongs in 1:12.30 and fought through the lane, with rivals on either side, to cover the two-turn mile on a muddy, sealed track in 1:39.85.

Komorebino Omoide ($10.60) stormed home by 5 3/4 lengths in the $100,000 Delta Mile. The Donegal Clan finished second, a length clear of third-place finisher and 4-5 favorite Touchuponastar.

Komorebino Omoide sat off The Donegal Clan’s fractions of 22.88 seconds for the opening quarter and 46.17 for the half-mile before taking over through six furlongs in 1:11.30. The winner went on to cover the mile in 1:37.50.

The winner covered the 6 1/2 furlongs, which were run around two turns, in 1:21.19. Jayde Gelner owns and trains the daughter Tapiture. She earned a Beyer of 59.

Coal Battle ($5.80) rallied for a 2 1/2-length win over pacesetter A Million Moons in the $100,000 Jean Lafitte for 2-year-olds. Juan Vargas was aboard for trainer Lonnie Briley.
