Harness: Legendary Hanover retired

Mike Lizzi
Legendary Hanover's racing career has come to an end

Legendary Hanover, winner of this year's Meadowlands Pace and Cane Pace and 2023 O'Brien 2-year-old Pacing Colt of the Year, has retired from racing due to injury in his last start and will begin his stallion career in 2025.

The brilliant son of Huntsville set multiple stakes and track records when he captured the Meadowlands Pace (p,3,1:46 3/5-'24), Cane Pace (p,3,1:46 2/5-'24) and the Empire Breeders (p,3,1:48 1/5f-'24).

Owned by Eric Good, West Wins Stable and Mark Dumain and trained by Anthony Beaton throughout his career, the 12-time winner retires with $1,088,681 in career earnings.

Stallion plans are underway with an announcement expected soon.
