The NFL playoffs are upon us, and player injuries take on added importance now that it’s win-or-go-home time.
Following are some key player injuries to track for the 12 teams in action on wild card weekend. Having the latest updates is a must for those taking advantage of our top online sports betting offers.
Green lights for QBs Hurts, Love
Sunday afternoon’s late game between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles features starting quarterback injury questions on both sides.
Eagles dual-threat QB Jalen Hurts missed the final two regular season games with a concussion.
Hurts, though, practiced Wednesday and Thursday and on Friday, Philly coach Nick Sirianni announced his QB has cleared the concussion protocol and will suit up for the second-seeded Eagles on Sunday.
As for Green Bay, starting QB Jordan Love departed in the second quarter of the team’s regular-season finale with an elbow injury that caused him to lose feeling in his throwing hand.
Love kicked things off Wednesday with a limited-participation practice session but has since upgraded to full participation Thursday and Friday. He's still dealing with some right arm soreness, but does have an injury designation for Sunday's game.
For the Washington Commanders, rookie starter Jayden Daniels was pulled at halftime of the team’s Week 18 game due to unspecified “leg soreness.”
Daniels, though, practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday, putting him on track to start Sunday night's wild card matchup with the host Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Running backs Edwards, Hill good to go
Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards has been cleared for the team’s Saturday afternoon wild card game in Houston after missing the final two contests of the regular season with an ankle injury.
Edwards practiced in full Thursday and is not listed on the Bolts' final injury report.
There's also positive news in Baltimore as Ravens RB Justice Hill will return to action Saturday night against the rival Pittsburgh Steelers after sitting out Weeks 17 and 18 with an illness on top of a concussion.
Hill practiced this week and does not carry an injury designation into the weekend.
One running back we won’t be seeing this postseason is Los Angeles Rams rookie backup Blake Corum, who suffered a fractured forearm in Week 18 and is out for the playoffs.
Ravens WR Flowers to miss playoff opener
Ravens Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers leads the team in receptions and receiving yards but exited the team’s regular-season finale with a knee sprain.
Flowers has been unable to practice this week, and on Thursday was ruled out of Saturday night's wild-card game.
Another WR injury to keep an eye on is A.J. Brown's ailing knee. The Eagles wideout put in a limited practice session Wednesday and then sat out Thursday before returning to drills Friday.
The Eagles, though, are taking it easy with the star wide receiver during the week and he does not carry an injury designation on Philly's final game injury report.
Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton is also hoping to play this weekend after missing Weeks 16-18 with a knee injury.
His status is listed as questionable, but he appears to be on the right side of that designation after practicing in full Thursday and Friday.
On the flip side, Packers speedy wideout Christian Watson will miss the postseason after suffering a torn ACL in Week 18.
Key defensive injuries include Bucs' Winfield, Bills' Bernard
Bucs All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is officially listed as questionable but is expected to return to action Sunday night after team’s final four regular season games with a knee injury.
Winfield was able to practice fully all week.
For the Bills, linebacker Terrel Bernard, the team’s second-leading tackler, sat out Week 18 with a quadriceps injury. But coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Bernard will play Sunday against the visiting Denver Broncos.
Meanwhile in Green Bay, linebacker Quay Walker was sidelined for the final three games of the regular season, but LaFleur said Monday he’s “optimistic” that the team’s leading tackler will be able to play Sunday in Philly.
Walker has been a limited participant in all three of the Packers' practices this week, and he's listed as questionable for the game.
Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore missed seven games down the stretch, including Weeks 17 and 18, with a nagging hamstring injury.
But Washington will have the midseason trade acquisition available to face his former NFC South-rival Mike Evans and the Bucs on Sunday night after he practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday before getting a veteran's rest day off Friday.
