Current top 10 freshman sire Leinster and Grade 1 winner Fire At Will will lead the 2026 roster for the debuting Mountain View Farm in Gansevoort, N.Y., north of Saratoga Springs.

The new venture, first reported by the BloodHorse, is an expansion of the Willow Brook Stables operation of owner-trainer David Cannizzo and Carolyn Cannizzo. Mountain View will be a full-service operation, offering breeding, boarding, foaling, layup, rehabilitation, and sales prep services. There are plans to add a training track.

Leinster, a graded stakes-winning turf sprinter, gets the stallion roster off to a strong start. The son of Majestic Warrior began his career at Pleasant Acres in Florida and currently ranks eighth on the North American freshman sire list, according to Daily Racing Form statistics. Led by multiple stakes winner Lennilu, he is the only sire outside of Kentucky in the top 10.

“He was a world-class turf sprinter who set two blazing track records in graded stakes and earned four triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures,” David Cannizzo said in a press release. “With credentials like these – combined with his undeniable first-crop success – we knew he would be an invaluable asset to New York breeders. His ability to pass on elite speed makes him exactly what our breeding program needs.”

Fire At Will, who will be represented by his first runners in 2026, moves within the state after starting his career at Sequel Stallions in Hudson. The son of Declaration of War won three stakes, highlighted by the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
