Letta’s Legacy set the pace en route to a 3 1/2-length win over 2-5 post-time favorite Eireann in the $50,000 More Than Even Stakes on Tuesday at Will Rogers Downs. It was another 4 1/4 lengths back in third to Caleb’s Finest.
The one-mile race was for fillies and mares aged 3 and up who were bred in Oklahoma.
Letta’s Legacy ($4.80) set fractions of 23.17 seconds for the opening quarter-mile, 45.97 for the half-mile, and 1:11.46 for six furlongs. She went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:38.58.
David Cabrera was aboard Letta’s Legacy for trainer C.R. Trout.
Trout also bred and owns the daughter of Practical Joke. Letta’s Legacy has now won 11 of 20 starts, including five straight, for earnings of $385,599.
