Call Me Goo was crowned this year's Six Pack champion & went over $1 million in lifetime earnings

Trainer Ake Svanstedt sent out four of the seven entrants in Saturday's Grade 3 $114,500 Six Pack for older trotting mares at the Meadowlands and won with Call Me Goo, the one he was driving, in 1:51 2/5. The winner's share of the purse made Call Me Goo harness racing's newest millionaire.

Call Me Goo darted from to the point from post seven and cut the opening quarter in 27 2/5, but stablemate Dial Square S (James MacDonald), who was looking to keep her perfect record in North America intact and was coming off a win over Call Me Goo in the Armbro Flight Stakes final at Woodbine Mohawk Park most recently, moved out of third before the 55 4/5 half and took control beyond that marker.

Dial Square S backed down the tempo on the final bend, but Call Me Goo was right on MacDonald's helmet the whole time, and Svanstedt fired her to the outside before the 1:24 1/5 three-quarters went on the board. After a short battle, Call Me Goo overhauled Dial Square S in the upper part of the stretch and then held sway to the wire, winning by about a length over M-M's Dream (Yannick Gingras), who tracked Call Me Goo's moves throughout. Nelsonbriteagle NO (Dexter Dunn), another Svanstedt pupil, got up for third from a tiring Dial Square S.

"She felt very good. I'm impressed with her, she's a really tough horse," Svanstedt said of Call Me Goo, who won the Breeders Crown final for the division in 2024. "She can race from all positions and she always does her job.

"This year we have four mares, so of course they're going to race again each other almost every time. We have entered Call Me Goo against the colts in some races," and we're going to see if she can compete against the colts."

Svanstedt also co-owns Call Me Goo, a 5-year-old Googoo Gaagaa mare, with breeder Bib Roberts and partners Graham Grace Stables LLC. and Kiwi Stables LLC. Call Me Goo has a summary of 24-8-3 from 40 starts, has earned $1,042,240 and paid $4.40 to win as the 6-5 second choice.
