Sire Papi Rob Hanover got both credits in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes tests for sophomore pacing fillies on Saturday afternoon at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows as his daughters Good As You and Asphalt won their respective $56,119 splits in convincing fashion.
In the first division Au Jus Hanover (Aaron Merriman) shot to the front in a 26 4/5 quarter but then yielded to attack by 2-5 favorite Looksgoodinloulou (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.). Looksgoodinloulou got to the half in 55 2/5 as Good As You (Andy McCarthy) started a first-over bid out of fifth that carried her side-by-side with Looksgoodinloulou at the 1:22 4/5 three-quarters.
Good As You sustained her brush around the final bend to take control away from Looksgoodinloulou, and she continued to pour it on to the wire, widening to a 4 1/2 length triumph in a lifetime-best clocking of 1:50 3/5. Looksgoodinloulou had to settle for second and Stevie Hanover (Chris Page) checked in third.
Trent Stohler trains Good As You and also bred and co-owns her with partner Benjamin Graber. Good As You has four wins and two thirds from nine outings, has put away $42,909 and she paid $15.80 to win as a 6-1 offering.

The other section saw Asphalt (Jack Pelling) on the point at the 27 1/5 quarter, but she gave way to sit in the pocket behind an advancing Tie The Knot (A. McCarthy) beyond that marker. Tie The Knot paced through the half in 54 2/5, but Pelling swung back to the outside before three-quarters went on the board in 1:22 3/5 and reassumed command on the last turn. From there, Asphalt cruised to a 2 1/2 length victory in a career-best 1:50, with Papi Grad (Page) second after she closed well from the back of the pack and off dull cover. Tie The Knot faded to third.
Asphalt, bred by Dr. Stephen Dey III, is trained by Brett Pelling for owner Margaret Dey. Asphalt has a summary of 5-0-0 from eight appearances, has banked $76,159 and returned $2.80 to win as the 2-5 choice.
