Rodeo Drive Deo didn't have to face division leader Miki And Minnie on Friday and took advantage

Rodeo Drive Deo and Good As You posted matching 1:50 miles to win Friday evening's pair of Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for sophomore pacing fillies at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The first split went for a purse of $55,719 and Time Of The Season (Aaron Merriman) tipped out of the pocket befor ethe 27 second opening quarter and wrestled the top spot away from Who Are You (Mike Whelan) beyond that marker. Rodeo Drive Deo would then make a brush out of third and she hit the front as they raced in front of the stands for the first time.

Once she had command, Rodeo Drive Deo kept it through middle-half fractions of 54 4/5 and 1:22 2/5 while Time Of The Season revved up and then came off the pylons on the final bend. Time Of The Season did gain through the stretch, but it wasn't enough as Rodeo Drive Deo stayed in front by half a length on the wire. Fancy Like Louuuuu (Chris Lems) finished third.

Ron Burke trains Rodeo Drive Deo, a daughter of Captaintreacherous bred by Deo Volente Farms and Cool Cat Racing, for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Beasty LLC. and J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby. Rodeo Drive Deo has eight wins, eight seconds and three thirds from 23 outings, has earned $638,138 and paid $3.40 to win.

In the other $55,319 grouping, Asphalt (Jack Pelling), the 4-5 favorite, moved up on the outside to get to the point around Always Ana Hanover (Wrenn Jr.) after the 26 1/5 quarter and remained on the engine to the half in 54 3/5. After that station, Dave Palone wheeled Westwinds to the outside from the third spot, and she came with a strong brush that carried her around Asphalt nearing the 1:22 2/5 three-quarters.

After Westwinds forged her way by Asphalt, that left Good As You (Merriman) first-over, with a shuffled Always Ana Hanover able to scramble to the outside to grab Good As You's cover. Good As You, despite now being uncovered, charged at Westwinds and was able to go by her before they entered the lane, then pulled away through the stretch to prevail by two lengths over Always Ana Hanover. Westwinds saved third over Lily White Hanover (Mike Wilder).

Trainer Trent Stohler also bred and co-owns Good As You, a filly by Papi Rob Hanover, with Benjamin Graber. She has a summary of 7-1-3 from 15 trips behind the gate, has put away $102,407 and returned $20.20 to win as a 9-1 offering.
