Mister Omaha, who has won his last three starts by a combined margin of more than 14 lengths, is being considered for the $300,000 Springboard Mile on Dec. 13 at Remington Park, trainer Joe Offolter said Saturday.
Mister Omaha won his second straight stakes in the track’s Don McNeill for 2-year-olds Friday night. It was his first start around two turns as he won by five lengths after breaking last of all. One start prior, Mister Omaha set the pace and prevailed in the Oklahoma Classics Juvenile at six furlongs at Remington.
In the McNeill, Mister Omaha stumbled at the start and also was impeded by a rival shortly afterward while racing on a wet track for the first time.
“We got back quite a bit,” Offolter said, “and he kind of showed he can do other things, come from behind, which I really like.”

Offolter said Mister Omaha emerged from the race well on Saturday.
“I hand-walked him myself and he dragged me around there,” he said. “He’s a good-feeling boy.”
Offolter said plans going forward are to be determined with Bryan Hawk, who bred and owns Mister Omaha. The horse is by Omaha Beach and out of the Into Mischief mare Cosmic Code. Cosmic Code is a half-sister to Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks winner Bonny South.
