And here are Friday’s best NBA bets from analyst Gino Buccola of the Daily Racing Form:
Magic +3.5 (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
The Magic head back home, down2-0 in the series with their last real chance to save their season. Jayson Tatum missed Game 2 for Boston, and if he's held out again or is not quite himself Friday, Orlando's defense should be able to keep things close. The home-underdog Magic could get a shooting boost back in familiar territory.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope over 1.5 3-pointers (+120 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
It's been a really disappointing season for the Orlando veteran and not a great start to the series. KCP is only 2-of-10 from 3-point range so far and has only shot 34 percent from distance on the season. But he's played in more big playoff games and hit more big shots than the rest of the Magic combined. Even with his struggles Caldwell-Pope is still playing big minutes and will likely be getting open looks with extra attention focused on top scorer Paolo Banchero.
Bucks first half -4.5 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
Milwaukee is another team that heads home down 0-2 and facing a must-win Friday. Guard Damian Lillard returned in Game 2, so he should have some fitness built back up and some of the rust shaken off from the month he missed with a leg blood clot. bThere was a Kyle Kuzma sighting in Game 2, and the Bucks cut a huge deficit to just two points late. Giannis has been excellent as always, and the Bucks should have a big punch to start Game 3 at home.
Austin Reaves over 2.5 3-pointers (-105 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
Reaves shot almost 38 percent from long range and made 2.7 per game in the regular season on a little more than seven attempts per contest. He's had a slow start to the series for the Lakers and is 3-of-14 from distance so far. With Luka Doncic playing well, the Timberwolves will be focusing their defensive efforts there, leaving more space for Reaves.
