GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Usually Wrong, who won his stakes debut in the $100,000 Chamberlain Bridge last Monday at Lone Star, will likely run back in the track’s $125,000 Grand Prairie Turf Sprint on June 28.
He improved his career record to 5 for 6 when closing with a rush in the five-furlong race run on yielding turf. Usually Wrong is now 2 for 2 on turf.
“The last couple of races he sat off the pace and had a nice kick,” trainer Robertino Diodoro said. “I think that’s making him a little better horse, just maturing and being able to sit off the pace a little bit and finish up a little stronger.”
Usually Wrong is a 4-year-old by Lookin At Lucky. He earned a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 92.
Rezasrolex, who won his fourth straight Tapeta sprint May 23 at Gulfstream Park, is being considered for the Grand Prairie Turf Sprint, according to trainer Joe Orseno. Rezasrolex, who is 8 for 12, won his lone start on turf and is bred for the surface as a son of Bucchero.
