Heavy favorites Rocket Deo and My Girl EJ proved too tough for their rivals in Sunday afternoon's $116,500 Glen Garnsey Memorial tests for sophomore pacing fillies at The Red Mile.
With Andy McCarthy in tow, Rocket Deo led the way through fractions of 26 4/5, 55 3/5 and 1:23 on her way to a 3 3/4 length victory in 1:48 3/5. Canigetalouploup (Yannick Gingras) held onto the runner-up spot from the pocket from a second-over Disney (Todd McCarthy).

My Girl EJ (Dexter Dunn) bounced back after suffering broken equipment in the Jugette final with a 1:48 1/5 score. She brushed out of third past the 26 4/5 quarter and got to the top from Direction (T. McCarthy) en route to the 54 2/5 half-mile marker. From there, My Girl EJ paced through three-quarters in 1:22 2/5 and then sprinted home in 25 4/5 to defeat Direction by a length and a quarter. Sweet Gal (A. McCarthy) closed well off cover for third.
