In the event for mares McCarthy and Fearless Bettor waited on the pylons in the three-hole while first Peace Talks (Dunn) and then and Bath Bomb (Andy McCarthy) put the 27 4/5 quarter, 55 second half and 1:22 3/5 three-quarters on the board. Peace Talks edged off the pylons passing three-quarters, which gave Fearless Bettor cover to follow, and Fearless Bettor's 27 1/5 final panel carried her by both Peace Talks and Bath Bomb to score by three-quarters of a length in 1:50 2/5.
Fearless Bettor, a Betting Lane mare, was making her debut for new connections in trainer Tony Alagna and owner Sam Bowie. She has a summary of 9-9-4 from 37 appearances, has pocketed $336,308 and returned $14.66 to win.
