The current 2024/25 racing season concludes with Happy Valley’s Season Finale on Wednesday night, 16 July. On the night, racegoers may witness the crowning of the season’s Tony Cruz Award winner and the Champion Griffin award. A Jockeys’ Parade on the night is where fans have the chance to get up close to their favourite riders.

Exciting races, a breathtaking pyrotechnics show and Happy Wednesday’s Music Festival will transcend Hong Kong’s iconic circuit into a vibrant carnival for fans and tourists.

Stage is set for Happy Wednesday Music Festival!

To get racegoers into the mood of dancing at the Season Finale with Latin vibes, live music performances feature at the Beer Garden from 5pm on Wednesday. The energy kicks into high gear as DJ duo Sarah and Lucie spin electrifying beats to get the crowd moving. The excitement builds when international vocal and dance star Rechelle Mansour lights up the stage with a show-stopping performance along with samba dancers. A pyrotechnics show lights up the sky at Happy Valley after Race 5.

Tony Cruz Award winner to be honoured on the night

The heated contention for the title of Tony Cruz Award peaked on Sunday (13 July), with jockeys Matthew Chadwick (35 wins) and Derek Leung (34) each securing a win. The competition has intensified, leaving just two victories separating the top three contenders. Chadwick and Leung are each booked for eight rides, while Matthew Poon (36) has seven on Wednesday.
