All-sources handle at the Aqueduct spring meet was $102,356,937, a 2.8 percent decline from the 2024 spring season, in which handle was $105,265,644, according to figures provided by the New York Racing Association.
There were 140 races conducted at the 2025 Aqueduct spring meet, which consisted of 16 cards from April 3-27. Only nine of those races were run on turf. In the spring of 2024, there were 136 races conducted on 16 days of racing, including 17 on turf. Field size on turf in 2025 was 10 horses per race, compared to 8.76 in 2024. Overall, field size at the 2025 spring season was 6.57, compared to 6.88 in 2024.
Ontrack handle at Aqueduct’s spring meet was $9,427,661, a 4.6 percent decline from the $9,881,989 handled in the spring of 2024.
The handle at the 2025 spring meet was down despite a record-setting Wood Memorial card on April 5, where handle was $23,250,478, compared to $14,887,935 in 2024. This year’s Wood card had 13 races and benefited from cancellation of scheduled cards at Keeneland and Oaklawn Park.
