Dial Square S continued an undefeated stretch since she arrived in North America in Saturday night's Grade 2 C$210,000 Armbro Flight Stakes final for older trotting mares at Woodbine Mohawk Park, rallying off a second-over trip for driver James MacDonald and trainer Ake Svanstedt to tally in 1:51 4/5.
Pole-sitter M-M's Dream (Yannick Gingras) shot to the front in a 26 4/5 quarter as defending champion Call Me Goo (Svanstedt driving) settled into the pocket. Behind them, Drawn Impression (Louis-Philippe Roy) was able to tuck into fourth after floating away from post eight and Dial Square S set up shop behind her.
Nobody came at M-M's Dream in the second quarter, which allowed Gingras to slam on the brakes to a 56 second half, but business picked up from there as Drawn Impression went first-over, providing cover to Dial Square S, Willys Home Run (Tim Tetrick) and Emoji Hanover (Tyler Jones).
M-M's Dream managed to fend off Drawn Impression to three-quarters in 1:24 2/5, but MacDonald had Dial Square S rallying three-wide and she took control midway through the stretch. Call Me Goo found a seam up the inside and had time to get to Dial Square S, but she came up half a length short to her stablemate. Willys Home Run was third, followed by Bravo Angel S and M-M's Dream.

"She was just perfect. She was two fingers to drive," said MacDonald, who won an elimination last Saturday on Willys Home Run but instead ended up on Dial Square S, who captured the other elimination with Svanstedt driving. Ake said her first start she got a little hot and then last week she was great to drive. They've done a great job with her because she was just an absolute dream tonight.
"I was just going to go forward a little bit and see how the race looks. It looked pretty early like Ake and Yannick had gotten away well and Louis was kind of floating for position. I was hoping I could get him in front of me and it would work out the way it. Sometimes it never works out and today it did."
Svanstedt trains Dial Square S, a 5-year-old by Ready Cash, and co-owns her with Stall Arsenal AB. She has five wins and five seconds from 16 career starts, has earned C$349,242 and paid $4.50 to win as the 6-5 favorite.
