2025 MEET STATS: 209 - 717 / $1,147.40 (-$286.60)
BEST BETS: 36 - 68 / $123.40 (-$12.60)
BEST BET: COPPERFIELD (9th)
SPOT PLAY: LYRICAL GENIUS A (4th)
Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) TWIG bumped up to the $40K level off the Devita reclaim and so far has a second and an easy win. He may not get away with a :58 1/5 half again but is in a prime spot to repeat. (2) CENTURY ENDEAVOR paced just evenly in his return to the Dilloian barn but he's in a spot to stalk from second or third and can complete a chalky exacta. (3) MIND HUNTER shocked from the eight hole last week and obviously he's capable here with the move back inside.

Race 2: NW15241 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) NONE BETTOR A made his first start of 2025 last week at Pocono and paced in under 1:50 finishing fourth. Now 12 years old the gelding oozes class and maybe he's ready to fire a big shot here at a big price. (3) HEMSWORTH N returns locally at a greatly reduced level and figures to be more involved. (5) THE IDEAL DANCER A hasn't won in a few months but he's always competitive. Leading driver/leading trainer in play here.

Race 3: NW11001 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A is back at Yonkers after a couple of failed tries at The Meadowlands and he's a proven winner here. Veteran figures to be stalking the speed and will look for a clear shot late. (1) WATTSUP SUNSHINE A just missed two back, just made it last week. He's back to Bartlett driving with a free ride at this level and lands the rail again. (4) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR is only 1 for 19 this year but has been competitive in practically all of his races, and he's been facing better. Import moves to Lachance in an interesting barn change and is definitely worth a look.
Race 4: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) LYRICAL GENIUS A usually races as well as he draws, so it bodes well for him that he's got the rail tonight. No reason why he can't win on the lead or right in behind from the pocket. (3) NUTTIN BUT FINESSE had turned it around recently at Pocono but faltered on the front end in his Yonkers return. Still looms a big threat, however. (7) SHAKE IT has been vary good for multiple barns this season but now he needs to overcome the outside post in his debut for the Odza barn. Picking up Bartlett is a big positive.
Race 5:3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(5) WELL THAT'S MARKY flattened after a good two-move try last out and overall his form since moving into claimers has been solid; needs a trip but will offer a much better price than the logical (3) WHY TOMORROW RAY, who has been close in his last four but burned money in the process. (1) AMERITRIC had nothing to offer from the bad post in his debut for the Forte barn but then moved inside and picked up the win. From another good post he should be right in the mix.
Race 6: NW23281 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) CADILLAC BAYAMA is best a level or two down but he draws well enough where he can set up close to the front and he usually has a nice finishing kick. Worth a look with some unreliable favorites in here. (8) MANFERNO faces a tall order from the right hole but he's been rock solid since joining the Adamczyk barn. (2) WHY NOT NOW has been a good earner this year with over $71K banked but he's got just one win and one second; I'll include underneath.
Race 7: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) MULLINAX has turned into a killer since the Engblom claim and Bartlett's in the bike again looking for a third straight. Step up in class may not stop him. (4) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A was a bit outclassed in the age-restricted Open but this competition is more up his alley; he jogged two and three back. (6) JUMPINGJACKMAC N is a fresh import for Dilloian and he was a big earner Down-Under. Tough spot to make his debut but these types always merit consideration.

Race 8: Invitational Pace
(4) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR will have a clear path to the front tonight, unlike his last start out of the seven hole, and that should be enough to start a new winning streak. Short price, but very logical. (1) NO CONTROL was overmatched in the Haughton and also has something to prove against this type but he's in a position to secure a pocket and that gives him a chance at a nice payday. (5) SOHO FIRESTONE A is a sharp off-the-pace type who can threaten late if the pace is fast enough.
Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) COPPERFIELD returned from Kentucky, added Lasix and was a live runner-up. Look for Bartlett to take charge tonight. (5) SEMI TOUGH held well for second in his local return after the winner drew away; Buter gets the driver tonight on the Burke veteran, who has had plenty of success here over the years. (4) T H TYSON makes his local debut for the Chris Ryder barn and the 4YO has been good since returning after a sizable break in action.
