2023 MEET STATS: 66 - 194 / $300.00 (-$88.00)
BEST BETS: 11 - 18 / $34.00 (-$2.00)
Best Bet: KINGSVILLE (3rd)
Spot Play: NORMAN'S MADELINE (5th)
Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) BETTER WATCH IT was saddled with tough outside posts in her last two but rallied well for a share both times and has been sharp in practically every start this season. Post relief makes the Garcia-Herrera trainee a very logical contender. (5) CHUPPAH ON has two narrow losses in her last two starts; she figures to be heading to the front again. (7) CORAL BELLA has the early speed to overcome the outside draw, as she proved last week; she's another sharp one in here and can be considered at a price.

(4) QUALITY BUD paced a good back half last week to pick up a minor share from a tough spot and overall the veteran has been pretty good this year; Stratton picks up the drive tonight facing a field where the likely favorites look a bit shaky. (3) INDICTABLE HANOVER may lack the class of others in here but it's tough to ignore anything from these connections. (1) BARBADOS just has not been sharp for this barn since being claimed for $50K last month and he's likely to take plenty of money; needs to pick up his game.

Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) KINGSVILLE had been climbing the conditioned ladder and he's up another class tonight looking for four straight wins. I'll stay on board. (3) HEEZ OURPERSEUS N gave it a more aggressive try in his third start since arriving in the U.S. and he was much better. These connections are sharp with these imports and this one will find the winner's circle soon. (2) JAHAN HANOVER drops to a more manageable level and gets post relief; figures to be aggressively handled here by Bartlett.
Race 4: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(3) WE SHALL SEA wasn't much of a player in his first start back from vacation but he faces a seemingly softer field tonight and the Team Stratton youngster did qualify well a couple of weeks back; should be a healthy price. (6) TWO FACED loses Stratton, gains Brennan and has been the most consistent of the bunch. (1) HURRIKANE HUNTER qualified effectively for his 3YO debut, picks up Bartlett and lands inside; I guess he deserves consideration.
Race 5: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) NORMAN'S MADELINE drops back in for a tag and lands the rail; Holland figures to be sending her down the road. (3) LADY DELA RENTA A gets a bit of post improvement in her second start back after a sick scratch and a little missed time; she hasn't done anything special lately but neither has anyone else in here. (5) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX has tailed off since her nice run to end 2022 but she is coming off an improved effort and Bartlett drives again.
Race 6: NW22801 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE took care of business on last week's drop and he gets to face similar tonight; he should repeat here at another short price. (3) BOILING OAR gave it a rugged try into the top one but was held at bay; second best again? (1) SMOKIN BY N woke up with a solid effort last start and now lands all the way inside; he's got a chance with a smooth trip.
Race 7: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(5) TWIN B JAMMER was a winner across the river first-time Burke and that makes him logical selecting as he heads back to the half-mile. (3) HUNTANOVER comes out of the same race as the top choice and he fired home nicely at a big price; that was his first back from vacation and the Cullipher trainee should be even tighter now. (1) RB is speed from the rail and should grab a share.
Race 8: NW10201 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) ROCKATHON drops back to the level of his last win and seems eligible to improve in a hurry. (5) BENHOPE RULZ N doesn't win all that often but he's ultra-consistent with this type and has the speed to be involved early. (4) DEAL THE CARDS is a lightly-raced 6YO making just his third start for the Engblom barn and he gets Bartlett in the bike coming off an even effort at The Meadowlands; he's tough to gauge here especially facing more seasoned rivals.

Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) LOORRIM LAKE A took a slightly weaker field down the road at odds-on last week and the recent import doesn't face any standouts here; I'll give him a chance to repeat. (1) SETH HANOVER has been close in a few races this season without a win yet and he figures to be aggressively handled from the rail. (2) ROCKAPELO was a decent second in his first start back from a two-month break and he's got plenty of back class.
Race 10: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) TWIN B HEART THROB was a solid second in his last two and now he moves all the way inside; Cullipher trainee has been first or second in six of nine this year and is in a prime spot to pick up another win. (4) SHINE A LIGHT was beaten as the favorite last week facing lesser but he figures to leave here and work out a nice trip. (7) ALEX TYE has proven he can go with this type and while he would need to be very lucky to win maybe he can sneak in to the tri or super at a big price.
