BEST BET: AYR CORLEON GB (4th)
SPOT PLAY: JENDEN STRIKE A (2nd)
Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) IRIS SEELSTER has had poor posts in her last few races but managed to rally for small shares; last week was one of her better late efforts when Brennan jumped aboard and he drives again tonight. (4) VEL I'M A WINNER was reclaimed by the Dilloian Jr. barn and Bartlett is back driving. Two back for these connections she was second best. (6) BEE OKAY A hasn't picked up a check in her last four Yonkers races but they were either when facing better or when stuck in the eight hole. Moderate post improvement tonight.

Race 2: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) JENDEN STRIKE A has had no realistic chance in her last couple but she was competitive in all recent efforts at this level, including a win from a similar spot five back. (6) WHO'S PERFECT stepped up to the $30K level last week and was a decent second. Top connections have to be respected. (3) BOORAH N has hit the board in three of four since the DiDomenico claim.

Race 3: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) CREME DELIGHT doesn't win all that often but she has beaten this type in the past and the Burke trainee moves back to the rail and is second-time Lasix tonight. (5) YS SENSATIONALCITY has the necessary early speed but has also won from off the pace; she's been a consistent presence all season at this level. (3) AMBUSHED has been on fire and she goes for five straight but she'll have to prove herself getting it done for a new barn.
Race 4: 3-5YO NW2 races or $30,000 LT Pace
(6) AYR CORLEON GB took a month off after a sick scratch and resurfaced with a sharp qualifier with Lasix added; Engblom import is 0 for 7 this year but I think he's ready to fire a winning shot. (8) HOLT HANOVER makes his second start as a 3YO after a solid freshman campaign for the Schnittker barn. Only question is how hard he's pushed from the eight hole as he tunes up for the NYSS. (1) FOLLY ME arrives from the smaller circuit in Ontario where he's raced pretty well and he joins the Cory Stratton barn, with Jordan driving. Definitely worth considering.
Race 5: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) QUICK MENU has been handled well by Zeron in her last two and the Burke trainee seems to have found a home at this level; top call. (4) GINGER TREE LIZ pops up with a good effort now and then and the veteran can build off last week's race where she finished third at a price. (8) TOBAGO TIME takes a significant drop from the $30's to the $20's and she's the classiest in here but the eight hole is very tough especially with potential leavers just to her inside. Maybe A. Nap can find his way into the number.
Race 6: 3-5YO winners of 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace
(2) OOGLEVILLE picked up a check in the 2YO NYSS final here last year and to say he's come back sharp as a 3YO would be an understatement. Engblom trainee was recently the Weiss runner-up at Pocono and deserves top billing in this competitive race. (5) STATESIDELCKDWN GB brushed and crushed in his local debut and the Burke import seems ready for more. (3) SOHO SKYFALL A ships in from Saratoga for the Harmon barn and he's jogged in two of three U.S. races; also broke in a race up there which may be a bit concerning.
Race 7: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
I've been a fan of (6) DELITFULCATHERIN N for a long time and though she's no longer Matchmaker material she's still a solid mid-level claimer. Early speed always gives her a chance from any post and she just missed last week from a similar spot. (3) LAZIN ON THE BEACH stepped up for one start off the Laterza claim but drops back to the level she's most successful at. (2) WOODMERE HARRIET dropped and popped last out and she finally lands an inside post. Bartlett drives again and has a chance to be more aggressive with the Bongiorno trainee.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N is a neck shy of perfection through four starts after arriving from New Zealand and he gets to stay at the same level with the NW8 lifetime AE condition. Short price looming as he faces experienced foes again but he just seems a bit faster than his rivals. (1) FUNATTHEBEACH N moves back inside where the Gillis millionaire will be much more involved. (5) LEONIDAS A hasn't been a threat in his last three after winning at this level four back; veteran moves in to the middle of the gate and can pick up the pieces.

Race 9: NW23526 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) KOPI LUWAK has been a killer in three starts since being claimed by the Engblom barn and he's sharp enough to win again despite another bump up in class. (1) DEETZY has four wins so far this year and can still bring it at a high level as a 13YO; loses his regular driver Holland but picks up Gingras and should be set up with a live trip from the rail. (2) AMERICAN DEALER N had missed a bit of time prior to last week's tiring effort; he's right back in the box now and will look to bounce back.
Race 10: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(3) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL has done pretty well this season and has three wins after being shut out all of 2024; Fanning trainee has been third best in her last two and a smoother trip can take this at an honest price. (5) ONEDERFULBEACH moves in a couple of slots for the top trainer/driver combo, has speed and is logical. (7) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL returns to Yonkers and doubles her price tag after racing recently in for $10K at Philly but she's had plenty of success here in the past and is currently in good form; Kakaley picks up the drive and figures to be a big price.
