Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 5/27

2025 MEET STATS: 170 - 535 / $967.30 (-$102.70)

BEST BETS: 27 - 49 / $91.60 (-$6.40)

BEST BET: BEANZY FRESH (3rd)

SPOT PLAY: DISTANT LOVER (6th)

Race 1: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace

(5) WHO'S PERFECT drops back down to a level she's most comfortable at and was a winner from a similar spot three back, her first with Lasix added. Regular driver Bartlett isn't here tonight but the 4YO mare gets a worthy replacement in Gingras. (2) MORNING HAS BROKEN has been racing well in all recent starts and the move back inside makes her a contender. (7) JENDEN STRIKE A was narrowly defeated last out at the $30K level and like the top choice she drops a level but the outside post makes things more difficult. Should be a fair price, however.

Race 2: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(5) GINGER TREE LIZ wakes up with a big race now and again, and she has been more competitive recently, so maybe that points to a winning effort on the horizon. Mare can go from on or off the pace and should be a price. (4) THATS A HUGE BEACH is a little lacking in the class department but that was a decent effort last week for her new barn upon arrival from Rosecroft. (6) BEE OKAY A goes for two straight for top connections but is by no means a lock from this spot.

Race 3: 3-5YO NW2 races or $30,000 lifetime Pace

(3) BEANZY FRESH paced a nice back half en route to an easy win in his Yonkers return and pretty much gets a free ride here looking to double up. (6) LENNON HANOVER has good early speed so the outside post may not present a serious problem. Schnittker trainee cleared the front last week before being overhauled but did hold for a board spot. (2) AVENGER FORCE goes back to regular driver Kakaley after proving no match for the top choice last out.

Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(3) YS SENSATIONALCITY has been a consistent presence recently and last week she got the best of rival (4) AMBUSHED after a pocket trip. She loses regular driver Bartlett but that does help the price. The latter is back to Laterza via reclaim and saw her five-race win streak snapped at the hands of the top choice. (1) RACEY RACH N figures to save ground behind the speed and that makes her a live candidate to hit the board.

Race 5: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) TYRA MAKES BANK was used hard yet again last week and tired to fourth. Mare is proven at this level and figures to get a smooth trip one of these weeks, and will be a price. (3) ONEDERFULBEACH is another Engblom trainee who gets Gingras subbing for Bartlett and is the deserving favorite going for three straight. (4) JUST ROSAS LUCK has bounced around to a few different barns this season and now she's back with Rob Harmon; Marohn was third with her for these connections last month.

Race 6: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace

(3) DISTANT LOVER dominated for these connections upon arrival from Indiana. Engblom trainee (again with Yannick tonight) double-jumps in class but must be followed. (2) BOORAA N won from a similar spot last out; logical. (6) STORMY SERENA pulled off the 24/1 upset last out but that was three weeks ago.

Race 7: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) DEETZY just keeps chugging along and the ageless gelding looks for win #6 in his 13YO season. Move from the seven hole back to the rail makes that entirely possible. (2) NIGHT HAWK battled hard and gave way late in last week's try. Burke trainee does step up again but also draws well again and could be looking at a cozy pocket trip. (5) PEACE OUT POSSE has been a solid earner this year despite only two wins and he can race well from on or off the pace.

Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) MY ULTIMATE BYRON A put in a big winning effort last week despite the recent sick scratch and missed time. Bucci trainee faces better here but he was successful at the highest levels here in the past, and does get to start from a decent post. (3) THE BIGBOSS A is yet another Down-Under import who can make an impact right away; Gingras with the catch drive on the Blackler trainee. (8) RACING RAMPAGE returned to Lasix and found an easy spot at Pocono; stuck outside in his local return.

Race 9: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) QUICK MENU enters her third barn in as many weeks as she now debuts for Bongiorno and she has a post edge on her main rivals; mare has six wins already this season. (4) NIKASA N has raced well to finish third in her last couple and she's capable of better with a smoother trip. Not sure what happened with (6) DELITFUNCATHERIN N last start as she backed up badly but now she's back in at a reduced level having only missed one week of action. I'll assume she's good to go.
