SPOT PLAY: BOORAA N (5th)
Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
Look at the posts that (6) WOODMERE HARRIET has had to deal with lately! Tonight she lands on the outer half of the gate again but she drops from the $25K claimers back to $20's where she was a dead-game winner three back. Bartlett's choice over an Engblom horse. (1) SUGAR BRITCHES took three straight against $12,500 claimers at Pocono and Burke sends her back here to face better. Rail, good form and Gingras make her intriguing. (5) VEL I'M A WINNER goes for another new barn and has been a solid fit in this class.

Race 2: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) AMERICAN DEALER N has cruised at odds-on in two straight since returning to Yonkers and class-wise bumping up to a higher level shouldn't be a problem. Only knock is he's off three weeks. (1) THE IDEAL DANCER A picks up Gingras on the catch drive and two back he won easily from a similar spot. (3) ENDOFSTORY is Bartlett's choice here as he drops in class making just his third start of his 4YO season. He's got the speed to be lethal in here but after that tiring effort last out I have mixed feelings.

Race 3: NW15451 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N gave up too much ground last week to the classy winner and missed a neck, snapping his perfect record since arriving. From this spot he'll get right back to his winning ways. (2) YOROKOBI N isn't a prolific winner but does close well to hit the board in a majority of his races. Stratton can save ground and complete the exacta. (7) FUNATTHEBEACH N was the one who beat the top choice last out but the roles are completely reversed tonight as he comes from the worst post. Uphill battle for sure.
Race 4: NW2 races or $33,786 lifetime Pace
(6) SPINDOCTOR HANOVER has raced pretty well for these connections over at The Meadowlands after arriving from Canada and that was some decent stock he faced in a TM series; Post is a concern but I think he'll fit well here. (3) CRUZIN AMERICA was clearly ready for action last week at Pocono as he finally broke his maiden in his second try off the lengthy layoff. Alexander trainee could have more to offer. (5) STATESIDELCKDWN GB also arrives from The Big M and the Burke import keeps Gingras; worth a look.
Race 5: F&M $30,000 Claiming Pace
(3) BOORAA N has finished with pace in all three races since she was claimed by the DiDomenico barn and she gets some post improvement here facing a field with documented speed. Maybe she can strike from just off the pace. (2) WHO'S PERFECT can do it from on or off the pace and must be considered despite the bump in class. (6) CELCIUS is clearly sharpest in here and she even scored last week for new connections; goes for four straight overall at this level.
Race 6: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(2) EBONY LADY has had tough posts in four of the five starts since the Stratton barn claimed her; mare now drops back to the $20K level and moves inside. She's a much better fit with these. (8) BEE OKAY A draws another brutal post after giving it a tough try last week. Gingras drives again and will be a big price for a horse who is capable. (3) JILLIAN JIGGS has trouble finishing her miles and won't offer much value.
Race 7: Winners of 2-4 or $60,000 lifetime Pace
(2) ROYAL DESIRE was a winner last week for a barn that generally does well with limited stock; he gets another crack at this class and the call to repeat. (5) GOLD GLOVE HANOVER has just six lifetime starts but three of them are wins; 3YO comes out of the Weiss series and now goes for a new barn. (4) MIDNIGHT NATION is off over nine months but he qualified well with Stratton in the bike and he's driven this one all along yet bails for #2.
Race 8: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) YS SENSATIONALCITY got blitzed by #4 in here when they hooked up last week so she will have to step it up in order to turn the tables but maybe Bartlett tries for a stalking trip instead. (4) AMBUSHED goes for four straight overall; hard to fault her body of work over the last few months. (2) STAY HAPPY moves inside and figures to stay close to the leader.

Race 9: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) PINE BUSH MAGA drops back to the level where she's been most effective and also draws best while returning to the leading driver. Lots to like. (2) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL raced reasonably well last week when dropped in for this tag; draws well and can complete a chalky exacta. (6) RAISE THE ANTE has been leaving the gate well recently so maybe Gingras takes a shot again to sit close up.
Race 10: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(4) NUTTINBUTHEBEST has just one win this season after nine tallies in 2024 but she's been right there in her last three starts after dropping to this level and can hopefully offer a little value in this competitive field. (5) DELITFULCATHERIN N steps up a notch after being claimed again out of her last start; she's loaded with back class and has been sharp. (1) ON THE MONEY GB could not sustain her bid last week but overall she's been much better in her last couple.
