Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 7/22

2025 MEET STATS: 209 - 717 / $1,147.40 (-$286.60)

BEST BETS: 36 - 68 / $123.40 (-$12.60)

BEST BET: SINBAD N (9th)

SPOT PLAY: IRON MISTRESS (3rd)

Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(3) COALFORDSNSHINE GB has taken her last two in decisive fashion and three of four overall; import was claimed again and now goes out for the Dilloian barn while staying at the winning level. Bartlett's choice over an equally sharp Engblom trainee. (1) DISTANT LOVER gets Stratton to catch drive again after wiring the field as the chalk last week. These top two figure to be controlling the action. (6) HARPER SEELSTER is proven with this type but the draw probably limits her to a smaller share.

Race 2: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace

(1) DEETZY is back on the rail which means he's back in a controlling spot tonight; 13YO will look to take these down the road. (2) JM'S FINALTREASURE was stuck in the eight hole in his last two starts, now moves back inside. Burke trainee gets Buter on the catch drive and is a clear contender. (6) QUALITY BUD rallied with plenty of pace last week to finish third. Bad news is he lands the outermost post. Good news is he faces only five rivals.

Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(3) IRON MISTRESS has just been racing evenly of late but she has won in this class in the past and she gets a new driver in Kakaley. From this post she will definitely be close enough to strike. (2) GINGER TREE LIZ upset from off the pace two back and having been showing life recently she was claimed last week. Now in the Dilloian barn she picks up Bartlett from a good post but is likely going to be overbet. (1) RACIN FOR ROYALTY was able to win last out as the favorite and she draws the rail again which will keep her close despite her lack of early speed.

Race 4: 3-5YO Winners 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace

(4) CAPTAIN MOORE A has dominated in his last three after a shaky U.S. debut; Blackler import has to step up to face some more talented foes but he figures to have more in the tank. (1) HAZARDOS has won his last four Yonkers races and overall has looked quite impressive since shipping from Canada for the Steacy barn; good matchup here between the top two. (2) FEDERER has also been racing very well for the top Pelling barn but only has a couple of wins this year to show for it. If third best here he'll complete a very chalky tri.

Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) AMMO is just 1 for 14 on the season but that one win was here at Yonkers. Burke trainee returns locally with the class relief that can get him over the top. (3) YOROKOBI N is another camera-shy type who is 0 for 17 but has hit the board in ten of those races; Pete Tritton trainee finished crisply last week for second and figures to be in a similar spot tonight. (1) DONTLIKEITLEAVE steps up a notch after prevailing as the well-rated favorite last out. We'll see if he can repeat.

Race 6: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(5) YS SENSATIONALCITY is one of my favorites and has been a rock-solid player at this level all year; she's got a major tactical edge on her rival who's beaten her in her last two and that can make the difference tonight. (1) MALUKA MISS N gets serious post relief and she was a winner the last time she departed from the pole position. (4) JENDEN STRIKE A has been very sharp but takes a step up to the $50K level on the Laterza reclaim and things will undoubtedly get tougher for her.

Race 7: 3-5YO NW2 races or $30,000 LT Pace

(6) P A PIPER has been steadily improving for the Noel Daley barn and seems ready to improve on his lifetime win record. Despite being the ML favorite I can see him offering some value with a couple of interesting shippers to his inside. (3) ALL OUT HANOVER ships from Delaware and makes his local debut for Tritton. He was a winner in his Harrington finale in a comparative time for this level so he should fit well. (5) LUXURY VIRGIN arrives from Hoosier and joins the Engblom barn, which means he lands the leading driver but also means will take lots of play. Just 1 for 20 lifetime and off some time, so I'll use underneath and see what we got here.

Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(5) MYULTIMATEBAXTER N has been getting closer and closer to a win as he drops down in class and while he faces some tough competition inside of him that should make his price reasonable enough to take a shot. (4) OUTLAW MAN N dropped and popped with ease last week for Blackler/Bartlett and that was a life mark; one to fear. (3) SAMHARA N woke up in a huge way with the drop in class and I wouldn't be surprised to see him string consecutive live outings together.

Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) SINBAD N gave notice two back that he was back in fighting form and he followed that up with a win as the huge chalk last week at Pocono; Tritton charge has been successful with much better than these in the past. (2) SPORTY M THREE drops and has Stratton driving again; he'll likely be sitting close up. (6) ROCKMYSTER N also drops but without much current form though he was a winner the last time at the NW5000 base level; back to Bartlett.
