Nebraska Sports Betting

While sports betting is available at a handful of horse racetracks around Nebraska, there's no wagering on the state's beloved college programs, and efforts to legalize mobile wagering have thus far proven unsuccessful.

About Sports Betting in Nebraska

When the WarHorse Casino at Legacy Downs in Lincoln accepted Nebraska's first sports wager in 2023, the home of the Huskers became the 36th state to commence sports betting. While efforts are afoot to legalize mobile wagering in Nebraska, it remains a retail-only state, with six racetracks authorized to accept in-person bets.

Not having mobile wagering is an obvious drawback, as is Nebraska's restriction on betting on in-state schools. Few states are as crazy about college sports, with the University of Nebraska's football and women's volleyball programs leading the way and Omaha playing host to the College World Series.

Sports betting in Nebraska is still young, and with several neighboring states offering online wagering, the hope is that the Cornhusker State will eventually come around.
